Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Proprietor Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.

Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I originally thought was an actual muzzle, turned out to actually be tape. Jujur’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."

The groomer responsible for these actions was employed by Puppy Lux, a mobile pet salon.

James took Juju immediately to the vet for immediate medical attention. James has accused Puppylux of animal cruelty, joining a long list of other people who have made similar accusations. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.

James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were severe animal abuse report enough to cause bleeding."

Jack Smithr, a customer of Puppy Lux, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. One customer posted a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.

Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."

Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
